| Terms and conditions for bands rostered by GYBO and for users of this web site
Applications to join the GYBO roster
Get Your Band On reserves the right to accept or deny applications from bands and artists to be placed on its roster of bands. The decision to accept or rejection a request to be rostered is based on our professional judgment and we reserve the right to reject requests absolutely and without having to justify our decision.
Terms and conditions for artists and bands Get Your Band On has
general terms and conditions which apply
to any artist, act or band that they hire or arrange
a hire for with a third party or represent as managing agents.
The purpose of these terms and conditions is to ensure that performances conducted by the acts we represent are of a high standard and good quality. Our reputation as a business relies on our client acts conducting themselves in public and at venues and shows in such a way as to establish and retain the good name and reputation of both the band and of GYBO as an agency representing the band.
When we book bands to
play at a venue - whether this is one of
our own gigs or one organised by a third party - we expect the band to arrive at the specified time. Should a band be delayed for any reason, we would expect them to contact the venue en route to explain any hold ups and to give an estimate of their time of arrival.
We expect bands to bring with them to a show such instruments, back line and other required equipment as to enable them to play to their usual standard.
If for any reason a band is unable to fulfil a booking, the band should immediately contact the hirer, venue or promoter to let them know that they will be unable to fulfil a booking engagement. Bands should not accept a booking unless they are fully prepared to perform at that event and accept the terms and conditions on which they are hired.
Where bands have been booked to give a public performance, we expect band members to conduct their set at the best possible quality of musicianship and performance that they can achieve.
We expect band members to behave in a professional manner both before, after and during their performance.
We would not expect members of a band to become unduly intoxicated before or during a performance or to take drugs or to behave in a disorderly manner that might be offensive to others or to detract from the quality of the band's performance.
We would expect band members to respect health and safety regulations when performing at venues and to observe fire or evacuation requirements laid down by the venue for the protection of artists and the public.
We would expect band members to observe any regulations laid down by the venue as part of its entertainment or liquor licenses. If a band is booked to give a live performance, the band should honour the booking, complete the performance and play to their usual standard.
We expect bands to do their best at all times to bring fans with them to shows and / or to sell tickets for shows at which they play, if this is part of the terms of booking.
An act or band should maintain its instruments and back line equipment in good working order.
Terms and conditions for venues, promoters and hirers
If a venue, promoter or person hires an act or band to play, we would expect them to contribute financially to the expense of having that act or band at the show.
We would expect the managers at venues and promoters to treat artists and musicians with respect and courtesy.
When hiring an act or band to play, we would expect venues, promoters or bookers to make clear the terms and conditions on which they are hiring the band. This includes making clear the payment they intend to make to the band, what they will commit to in the way of publicity for the show, what equipment they will provide and what equipment they expect the band to provide.
Get Your Band On reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Back to top of page
